Join us for High Tea on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.!

This special event is hosted by “Let’s Dish / Giddy Chick” and will be held at The Venue, in downtown Asheville.  We want to bring back the art of High Tea in Asheville!  What started as a chance meeting and a simple conversation between Chef Cheryl Brookhouzen (The Giddy Chick) and Jessica Coffield (Let’s Dish AVL) over 2 years ago has finally come to fruition. While Cheryl’s background as a Chef and Pastry Chef in New York, Chicago and at the Inn on Biltmore Estate brings the excitement of true fine dining, Jessica’s passion for event planning and vintage china has brewed into a one-of-a-kind collaboration!   

The Experience:

Experience a tablescape full of vintage fine china and charm! With numerous teas to choose from, just imagine the taste and aroma sipping from a charming porcelain teacup! Or choose to enhance your afternoon experience by adding a glass (or two) of sparkling wine—available for an additional charge at time of service.  Whatever your drink of choice, enjoy wonderful food, soft music and the exquisite ambiance of the well-appointed Second Level of The Venue. Complete with open timber framing and elegant chandeliers, this historic building can make any occasion extra special!

Nothing is more special than the ambiance of live music! For Mother’s Day, we are delighted to feature Violinist, Madelyn Ilana!

Mother’s Day tea would not be complete without a wonderful array of teas and treats. Our menu offers a lovely selection of fine teas from Full Moon Tea Company, a female owned and operated local business. In addition, you will want to indulge in with warm freshly baked scones, clotted cream, chef-crafted preserves, finely cut tea sandwiches, savory bite-sized faire and memorable delicate cakes and desserts.

Parking: Street parking is available and free on Sunday, along with nearby paid parking at the 16 Broadway Street Garage and the College Street Parking Deck. Please allot time for parking prior to attending the event.  

Tickets Information:

Tickets are $65 per person. Included in this price is a High Tea experience of service, tea, food and all fees.  Sparkling wine is available the day of for an additional $14 per glass.  Tickets are required for this event and are non-refundable. They are transferrable but must be used on the day of the event for which it was purchased. Seating is limited so snag your spot today and create a new memory for Mother’s Day!
